CUSTOM INVITATION DESIGN

Custom Invitation Suites are created to be unique for each couple taking into consideration the overall aesthetic of the wedding and couple's love story. The process includes a design consultation, custom lettering, original illustrations, and color palette that reflects your love story and wedding theme.

As this is the first thing your guests will see, and it sets the tone for your big day—generating excitement and anticipation. Let us create a paper heirloom you will look back on with the same adoration you’ll have on your wedding day.

A typical three-piece suite includes an invitation card, envelope, RSVP card, return envelope, plus an insert card. However, a suite can include any items needed to complete the vision of the event. Custom packages start at an average of $3,500 and can include any combination of products. You should allow two to three months for the custom invitation design process and a minimum of one to four weeks for printing and production.

 Creating a website takes time and can be daunting. We will take on this task and curate a custom website that has all the needed information for your big day to save you the hassle, while also keeping the same theme as your invitations.

A wedding website is a central hub where your guests can find information about your big day, local activities, view photos, RSVP, the list goes on and on. Having all the information for your event in a central location will make your life a lot easier by not answering all the questions your guests may have.

In the design process, we have an intensive questionnaire to get all the details we need. If you have a wedding planner, we will set up a meeting with them to go over the details, as well. Once your website is created, we will set up a meeting to walk you through the backend operates and hand it over to you. Don’t worry, we are still here for you if you need any assistance.

PRINTING METHODS

Letterpress Printing

Letterpress is a form of relief printing, a method that consists of carving away at the surface of the paper with a printing plate and adding ink with a set of rollers to press back into the paper.Letterpress products are recognized for their high-end, exclusive, and refined qualities. Each individual piece of paper is run through the press by hand, and we take the time to make sure each piece is perfect for our clients. 

Digital Printing

Digital printing is the most flexible and affordable print method, which makes it an easy choice for many design projects. With infinite color options, and luxurious paper options, digital printing has advanced itself beyond the high-gloss photo printing of years past. As the most affordable print method available, digital printing is also a popular choice for brides looking to have beautiful wedding invitations without the cost of fine printing.

Foil Printing

Foil printing is a printing process which uses heat, pressure, and metallic paper. This is used to create a shiny design and/or graphic on various materials. Foil printing gives the focus area an incredible look and is quickly becoming the preferred method of printing in many industries. If you are looking for a unique way to add some class and sophistication to your printed project to make it look and feel more premium, then foil printing is the way to go.

THE PROCESS

Consultation + Booking

We will meet so I can get an idea for what your inspiration is for your invitations and discuss the details of working with Lettered Press. We’ll chat paper types, printing methods, styles, etc. From there, I will create a custom proposal for you.

Assembly

We hand assemble each of your pieces to ensure consistency and save you time of stuffing and sealing envelopes. This is an additional fee, depending on size of project.

Proofing

After paying your 50% deposit to secure your project date, we will start designing your invitations. Two rounds of proofs are included in all invitations packages. You will receive the proofs digitally to comb through and make edits.

DELIVERY

The final payment is due prior to the items being mailed out. We can mail out the invitations for you, or make arrangements for the invitations to be mailed directly to you to send out.

 

Production

Once the proofs have been approved by you, the production will start on your pieces. The timeline for production can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks, depending on the print methods and number of pieces.
